Tyrella House has been owned by the Corbett family for over 60 years, and was bought by John Corbett after the Second World War to train race horses.

Horses remain an important aspect of Tyrella, which is host to major equestrian events, and is well known for its sandy soil, hosting eventing, show jumping, point to point racing and polo competitions. With our partners SeaHorse Polo, we can provide beach rides and polo lessons for both total beginners and more advanced riders.

His son, David Corbett began running B&B in the 1990s, which continues to this day. In 2020, the day to day running of the B&B was taken over by his son, John and his wife Hannah.
